And what of the PS3 & the Wii? Not a single game of their’s – not Warhawk (PS3), not Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess (Wii), not Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)… were competitor’s for "Game of the Year". And it’s no surprise: In 2006, the situation was similar.
Spike TV’s 2006 Game of the Year nominees were:
Gears of War (XBox360), Guitar Hero 2 (XBox360), Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (XBox360), and Okami (PS2 – not PS3).

Uh… last I checked Oblivion was available for the PS3
"No name"? Ara, you\’re such a lurker. Thank you for clearing that point up. <smirk> As I\’m sure you knew being that you spent the time to actually comment on the post, I meant to say that Elder Scrolls Oblivion: Shivering Isles is XBox 360 ONLY and unavailable on PS3.
Hey – so while we\’re making changes to this post, let\’s add to the list:
– Virtua Fighter 5 (Online combat on Xbox 360 only)This is reknown for being the best hand-to-hand combat game in the industry. How can you buy it without online play? Xbox Live is the only way to compete over the Internet on Virtua Fighter 5.
– Ninja Gaiden 2 (Xbox 360 only)DOH! Tecmo\’s Ninja Gaiden 2 with its 30fps frame rate and its traditional history of Perfect-10 ratings for the series is an Xbox 360 exclusive and unavailable on any other console.
– Guitar Hero 3 Downloadable Content (Xbox 360 only)Want the FooFighters or the Velvet Revolver song pack? That\’s only available on Xbox 360. No soup for Playstation 3 owners.
And while we\’re talking about Guitar Hero 3, I\’ll also point out that the PS3 version for GH3 is virtually unusable for online play over the Internet. It just… doesn\’t… work. I\’ll be happy to retract the statement after I\’ve found someone that\’s gotten this to sign in and play but I\’ve yet to find a PS3 owner (of the 3 that I know) that have gotten to actually play a game over PS Online.
